Essay #1

My life is like a journey with many stops, but I enjoy my life. My life started in Taketa city, in Oita. Oita is famous for Onsen, Kabosu and Shochu. When I lived in Oita with my family, I didn’t like my hometown so much, so I decided to go out from my hometown. Then I decided to take an admission examination in another prefecture.

But, I had very hard journey when I was a third grade. I wasn’t good at studying, so I wasn’t able to enter my first choice school. I felt like my ship sank. However, my teacher is a very kind person, and he teach me about many universities where I can study English literature, and I was able to enter this university. I think this experiment made me a strong person, so I think hard things is necessary things in my life.

Now, I can study English literature in PUK, and I enjoy my university life. My ship starts to make a grate journey after the storm passed away. I want to study Shakespeare’s work and be able to speak English…

William and Kate

The sun is coming up over London, and the city is coming alive. There are always lots of visitors in London, but today something is different. On the Mall, some of the visitors are sleeping in chairs near the road, and others are standing and talking. More and more people are walking, driving, and talking trains into the city.

Everybody took photos of prince William when he first arrived at the University of St Andrews. Crowds of people came to the little Scottish town to see this new student who is ninetten years old and grandson of the Queen of England.
But nobody photographed Kate Middleton on her first day at the university. She moved in quietly, ready to begin her studies in art history. She was just an ordinary student with an ordinary future in front of her.
I was able to enjoy reading this book, becaus there are a lot of beautiful pictures of them. I have been to England last summer vacation. I want to go there once more.

Jelly is a nineteen-year-old American, who just wants a good holiday with his friend, Brad. They are travelling round the north of England by bicycle. But strange things begin to happen in the small hotel where they are staying. First, Brad seems to think that he has been there before. And then a girl called Ellen appears... The first of these three original plays is set in the seventeenth century, and the other two take place in modern times. In each play, a ghost comes back from the dead to change the lives of living people.
This book is a play, and use a little difficult words. So I had difficulty to read this book. However, I think it makes me more good reader. I want to become a person who can read easily any books.

The African Mask

When Janet came home from work on a hot day in August she picked up the mail. "Bills, bills, bills," she thought. Then she saw a blue envelope. She looked at the postmark. "Who is writing to me from Scotland?" she wondered and she opened the letter and started to read.

We did literature circle twice by this book, so I understand about the story very much.
This book has  a little strange things. For example, a man who was a boyfriend of Janet send a mail for her, however, he already passed away. I feel horrible. And also, she dreamed a african mask's dream and the african mask's face looks like her old boyfriend.
This book's main things is african mask. I didn't see african masks, so I want to see them.
I read this book for the first time, I wasn't able to understand what happens. However I was able to assent the story after literature circle. It was very good time.
